“I am fascinated by texture and the illusion of depth on a two-dimensional surface.  I enjoy using both these elements in my work.  Skilled craftsmanship has always been a great lure for me in my own artistic taste, ranking high along content and composition.   The sense of wonder and discovery is a continually renewing motivation for me as an artist.  The challenge to transcend the technical aspects of design and bring power and life to an image is a lifelong pursuit.”
